Finally finished my painting!

the first marking period has been great in creative arts at least. i have done allot this year that i haven't done before. i have had to do still lives and color still life to. it was a little bit of a slow start with the still lives but i think once i got the shading down i started going faster. my turning point this year was when i finished my shaded still life. i felt like i was getting the hang of how to draw real life objects so that they looked real on the paper. i feel like i have improved on my drawing skills since the beginning of the year. i cant wait for our other projects!!!!!

Painting

Today we were practicing our painting for out portraits again and I finally did my eyes. I think they look so cool! I love that they are a light blue almost grey Color. I am almost done my practice painting so that means I'm almost ready to ink! Then I move to my big one. I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Apple drawing

Hey everyone happy Halloween :) I thought I would talk about my time drawing my color pencil apple because it fits with the day. I was so happy with how it turned out but it didn't start out so easy. I had never used the pencils we used that could blend and smear together. After using them I really want a set but anyway the apple was hard in the beginning to get the right colors and get the place the stem goes in to look like a hole. Another thing I had problems with was the highlights on the apple to make it 3D looking but I finally got it and I think it turned out great! I don't have a pic of it to post or I would. I will try to upload one later if I remember/ can figure out how.
